Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about PAASL registration, games, and league policies.

Does PAASL offer co-ed leagues?
No. PAASL offers men's and women's leagues only. Co-ed is not available at this time.
When can I register to play?
You can register for an upcoming season when the registration window is open. It typically opens about a month before that session starts. We aim to close registration about a week before the session starts so we can set teams and the game schedule. Sign up for PAASL notifications to be notified when registration opens.
How do I find out when registration is open for the next session?
Sign up for PAASL notifications here. You'll get an email when registration windows open so you don't miss your chance to join.
Who can play in the pickup games?
Only players registered for the current league can play in that league's pickup games. Sunday league players cannot play in evening league pickup games, and vice versa. You must have a valid player pass with you to participate in pickup games.
How long are PAASL games?
Each game is 90 minutes of play. This is consistent across all PAASL games and is driven by evening league field permit time limits. Games must end on time for the next users and for referees. Games that start late may not be extended past their scheduled end time, so the match could be shorter than 90 minutes. Arrive on time and check in well before kickoff so your game can run the full 90 minutes.
I need a new player pass. What do I do?
Your player pass can be shown digitally from My Page on any phone browser for valid pregame check-in. If you prefer not to use your phone, a paper printout is also accepted for check-in.
I turn 25 during the next season. Can I still register?
No. PAASL is a 25-and-over league and we apply that rule strictly. You must be 25 years or older at the time of registration.
How much does it cost to play?
Fees vary by session length but are approximately $90–170 per player per session. You register and pay per session (Spring, Summer, or Fall). Exact amounts are shown when registration opens on paasl.org.
What's the difference between Men's A, Men's B, and Women's divisions?
Sunday and Evening leagues each have three divisions. Men's A (or Evening A) is more competitive. Men's B (or Evening B) is less competitive and more recreational. Women's (or Evening Women) is for women 25 and over. When you register, you can indicate your preference; the league assigns players to teams to keep games balanced.
What should I bring to games?
Bring your player pass (digital on My Page or a paper copy), water, and appropriate gear (shinguards are required). Wear colors that allow your team to be identified; some teams use bibs. Check the field locations and allow time for parking and check-in before kickoff.
What happens if it rains or fields are closed?
PAASL follows Palo Alto and permit-holder decisions on field closures. Check the rain closure policy and sign up for notifications so you get updates. Games may be cancelled or rescheduled; the league will communicate any changes.
